We represent employees who have been retaliated against based on protected activity such as a complaint about illegal activity in the workplace, or other inappropriate conduct by the employer (such employees are sometimes referred to as "whistleblowers").

Harassment

We represent employees who have been victims of harassment in the workplace, including based on sex and other protected characteristics. This includes employees subjected to a hostile work environment.

About Us

Marc A. Holmquist, Esq.

Marc Holmquist is a litigator who has focused his career on employment litigation and counseling. Before establishing Holmquist Law, PC, he was a Partner in the Employment Litigation group of Gordon & Rees, a large national law firm, where he represented business clients in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout California. His experience there included counseling on hiring practices, terminations (including separation agreements), discipline, reductions in force, workplace investigations, drafting and revising industry-specific employee handbooks and other written policies, contracts, wage and hour compliance, sexual harassment training, and litigation avoidance practices. His litigation practice included claims for wrongful termination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour, PAGA, and discrimination based on protected characteristics including age, race, national origin, disability, sex, gender, pregnancy, and sexual orientation. He has also litigated matters involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, defamation, and other torts.

Since establishing Holmquist Law, PC, Mr. Holmquist has recovered tens of millions of dollars for plaintiff employees who have been wronged in the workplace. He focuses on leveling the playing field for California employees and making the workplace fairer and more equitable for employees. Mr. Holmquist handles pre-litigation negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, litigation, and trial on behalf of employees.
